Fishing Reports

This next few weeks is probably about the best dry fly fishing in the year with fish gorging themselves on an abundance of hawthorns and mayflys just starting.

Fish have been landed this past week mostly on a mix of drys with black static flys fishing very well throughout the day, a good few also taking on buzzers and mayfly nymphs.

The lakes are currently heavily stocked having now stocked more fish this spring than any other year and another good stocking going in this next week.

Some nice doubles also to the net, Dave Wright from Washington returned a stunning brown of 15lb 4oz caught on a black hares ear fished on a sink tip.

Richard Weston from ashington returned a rainbow of 12lb on a black sedge.

opening times are now 8am- 9pm we are however usually open early on a weekend if Requested.

Tight line/wet nets.
